Recent Awards:

PNM Foundation Power-Up Grant

Friends of the Library, in partnership with the Rio Rancho Public Library, was awarded a PNM Foundation “Power Up” grant for $19,995. The grant was used to design, purchase and install a shade-sail cover, transforming a hot, underutilized concrete patio at the Loma Colorado Main Library into a vibrant outdoor classroom and community gathering space. Its dedication was April 21, 2017.

Brindle Fund, Santa Fe Community Foundation

FOLRR is honored and proud to have been awarded a $2,000 grant for our Books for Babies program from the Brindle Fund, Santa Fe Community Foundation. The Brindle Fund is a small family foundation based in Santa Fe which focuses on early childhood and children’s literacy.

The Friends are delighted to be a recipient of such a large grant from the Brindle Fund, Santa Fe Community Foundation to help expand our Books for Babies outreach, which starts our little ones on the road to a lifetime of reading!

Rotary Club of Rio Rancho Zimmerman Award

FOLRR is honored and proud to have received the 2014 Rotary Club of Rio Rancho Zimmerman Award “to recognize and give credit to an individual or an organization for their efforts (or programs) to improve the lives of the people of Rio Rancho.”
