The Friends’ Annual Membership Meeting and Spring Luncheon is usually held every April. At that meeting we recognize our exceptional volunteers, announce the Volunteer of the Year, elect new Board members, and hear about the Friends’ future plans. Until the pandemic subsides, these meetings, sadly, must be on hold.
The spring 2019 members’ luncheon and annual meeting was a big success with food provided by the Rio Rancho High School Culinary Arts program. After lunch, a presentation by library director Lynette Schurdevin highlighted many of the programs the Friends have supported. A brief review showed that the Friends’ finances are in good shape and that we’re adding new members.
Cancelled: Annual Meeting 2020
It is clear at this point that the Friends’ annual meeting and luncheon (originally scheduled for April) can not be safely held any time soon. For this reason, the annual meeting for this year must be cancelled.
