Monthly Giant Book Sale Purchase Policy

The Friends and our volunteers use numerous criteria for pricing the books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, and other items which we offer for sale at our monthly giant (or “mega”) booksales. Sale prices are separate from, independent of, and usually lower (but are not guaranteed to be lower) than the prices of the same or similar items we sell in our Friends’ Shop, which is also located within the Loma Colorado Main Library.

These second-Saturday-of-the-month giant sales are held only within the auditorium in Loma Colorado Main Library.

Items that the Friends have for sale in this auditorium must be paid for in this auditorium, before the person who desires the item(s) leaves the auditorium.

The Friends will not honor requests for sale or sale price of any item:

  1. which the Friends did not intentionally select for sale in the giant booksale prior to the giant booksale; or
  2. which the Friends realize are not the property of the Friends; or
  3. which the Friends realize have been mistakenly, illicitly or intentionally removed, from our Friends’ Shop or from other areas used by the Friends, in an attempt to purchase the item(s) at a lower price in our giant book sale.

Prices are not negotiable.

We do not warranty nor guarantee the contents of any aforementioned items. These were received as gifts, as donations, to the Friends. The vast majority of these donations were previously, although gently, used. The volume of said donations makes it impractical, if not impossible, for our volunteers to review every donated item. We do, however, strive to accurately assess the outward appearance of every item before an item is placed for sale in our giant sales or in either of our stores.

The buyer takes full responsibility for her/his choice and purchase.

All sales are final.
