Board of Directors
Friends’ members can be of any age, but each of the directors of our board and its officers must be 18 years of age or older.
Friends elect board members during the Annual Membership Meeting that is held in April each year. The 2012 Annual Membership Meeting was held on Friday, April 20, 2012.
A director’s term is three years.
Officers are elected by the board at the first board meeting following the Annual Membership Meeting. An officer’s term is one year.
Every year approximately one-third of the board members’ terms expire.
Current bylaws set no maximum to the number of terms a director or officer may serve.
We also have no maximum limit on the number of directors who can serve concurrently on the board. The more ideas, the better for the organization and, ultimately, the community!
