Our 30th Anniversary Gala Celebration

Tickets are $30 (thirty dollars) per person for the evening gala dinner, State of New Mexico Centennial commemoration, and silent auction.

 

Friends of the Library of Rio Rancho will have been incorporated for 30 years as of May 27, 2012! To help publicize this milestone, board member Dan O’Connell created this blue and white t-shirt that he proudly wears. You can obtain yours, by going to our bookstore within Loma Colorado Main Library. Our store’s volunteers will be happy to assist you! Sizes S, M, L, and XL are currently available, each for $15 (fifteen dollars).

We sincerely thank the hundreds of selfless volunteers who, over these past 30 years, have grown the Friends, encouraged literacy, developed and expanded our Books for Babies program, and increased the community’s awareness and use of Rio Rancho’s public libraries.

Our volunteers’ and members’ efforts have included volunteering:

with monthly book sales with special book sales on committees on our board on our advisory council with pricing and sorting donated items to operate the bookstores to work in the bookstores

with library construction fundraisers with bowl-a-thons with cookbook creation, and other fundraisers to create and distribute our newsletters to create and maintain our web site as historians to collect & distribute BoxTops on a multitude of other projects.
